The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest son turned 4 years old on Saturday, with a series of new photos released to mark the occasion. Taken by his mother Duchess Kate, the adorable snaps capture Louis playing on the beach near the Cambridges’ country home of Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Our favorite is the one in which he’s running barefoot towards the camera looking très mischievous. We’re also taking style notes—we love his blue shorts and star-patterned grey sweater! Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge was born on April 23, 2018 and is fifth in line to the throne. A curious report was published yesterday claiming that Louis’ brother Prince George (8) had a trial day at a school near Windsor, a school that all three Cambridge children—including 6-year-old Princess Charlotte—will eventually attend. It was reported that the other children in George’s class did not recognize him or “understand his royal status.” The story comes following reports that Kate and Prince William are considering a move to Windsor in order to be nearer to Kate’s parents in Berkshire, as well as to Queen Elizabeth II. (The monarch recently made Windsor Castle her permanent home following 70 years of Buckingham Palace being her main residence.) Currently, George and Charlotte are enrolled at St Thomas’s Battersea in London near the family’s city home, Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace. When Kate and William decided to spend more time in the Norfolk countryside, Anmer Hall was renovated at great expense to the taxpayer. It’s, therefore, possible that they will be compelled to give up Anmer Hall rather than add a third home in Windsor to their portfolio. Following Prince HarryandDuchess Meghan’s relocation to the US, they repaid the $3 million of taxpayers’ money they had spent renovating their marital home Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate.
