In addition, the eye network has given the green light to a second season for top freshman drama NCIS: Hawai’i and a fourteenth season for NCIS: Los Angeles. “NCIS, one of the most popular and enduring series in the world, and fan favorite NCIS: Los Angeles have been hugely successful on the CBS schedule for years,” said Kelly Kahl, president, CBS Entertainment. “With the strong new addition of NCIS: Hawai’i, we are able to expand the strength of this formidable franchise across our schedule. We couldn’t be more excited to have all three talented casts and creative teams back to bring more compelling NCIS stories to viewers in the U.S. and around the globe.” NCIS currently stars Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover and Katrina Law, with David McCallum, Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole. Cole had big shoes to fill when his character Alden Parker was brought in as the new head of Gibbs’ team, but he has successfully done so, which means the series could have several more seasons ahead of it. What is a question for season 20 is whether Valderrama will be returning to his role as Special Agent Nick Torres. As earlier reported by Parade.com, Valderrama landed the role of Don Diego de la Vega and his dashing swashbuckling alter ego, the masked horseman named Zorro in a live action version of the series for Disney Branded Television. Zorro is a series in development, not a done deal so watch for more news on that. NCIS: Los Angeles currently stars Chris O’Donnell, LL COOL J, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Medalion Rahimi, Caleb Castille and Gerald McRaney. Hunt’s name is still on the cast list, but we’ve seen very little of her character Henrietta “Hetty” Lange this season. Hetty is allegedly off on a very dangerous mission and McRaney was brought in to run the Office of Special Projects of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service on a permanent basis in her absence. That could mean her story wraps up this season, and she may not be back for season 14. NCIS: Los Angeles will be hitting a milestone when the 300th episode will air Sunday, May 8. NCIS: Hawai’i currently stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson and Kian Talan. There are no foreseeable changes to the cast for season 2 unless there is an addition. Next, Everything We Know So Far About NCIS Season 19
