Anna Grace, 20

Hometown: Milwaukee, WI Resident: Wauwatosa, WI After years of singing in church, Anna stopped after becoming self-conscious. But at age 17, when she became ill with a serious blood infection that kept her in and out of the hospital for eight months, she found the courage to sing again and started songwriting.

Cam Anthony, 19

Hometown: Philadelphia, PA Resident: Los Angeles, CA Cam used music as an escape from the violence and crime he faced growing up in Philadelphia. He sang in the church choir, and then, at age 11, a video of him singing a Bruno Mars song went viral and he was invited to open for Patti LaBelle, sing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and even perform at the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll. At 12, Cam was signed by Dr. Dre. and spent the rest of his teen years recording and performing.

Jordan Matthew Young, 34

Hometown: Roosevelt, UT Resident: Austin, TX A self-taught guitarist and piano player, Jordan played in his high-school marching band until he had to change schools. But he didn’t let that stop him and he built a marching band at his new school. Jordan has played the blues for the last decade, stopping due to COVID-19 and switching to making a living by fixing guitars and building houses with his dad.

Pete Mroz, 45

Hometown: Nashville, TN Resident: Phoenix, AZ Pete and his coach Blake Shelton were in a group together more than 20 years ago until Pete had to leave the group to find a job to support his family. But after the death of his father, he realized life was too short to not follow his dream and he now juggles music and his job as a traveling sales manager. Team Kelly

Corey Ward, 34

Hometown: Hartsville, SC Resident: McDonough, GA This was Corey’s second time auditioning for The Voice, and this time he got a chair turn. With a mother receiving treatment for cancer and a father recovering from a triple heart attack, Corey has learned not to take second chances for granted.

Gihanna Zoë, 17

Hometown: Riverside, CA Resident: Redlands, CA Gihanna started singing in church when she was five years old and was later inspired to learn piano. She attended a performing arts high school, where she was also inspired to become a storyteller, and has written several films, plays and songs.

Kenzie Wheeler, 22

Hometown: Dover, FL Resident: Dover, FL Kenzie has been singing since he was a child, but he didn’t take it seriously until high school, when he performed karaoke at a local restaurant and then went on to win a few contests. Since, he had the opportunity to open for Charlie Daniels and Craig Campbell. And, oh yes, his mullet, which is such a hit, was his dad’s idea.

Zae Romeo, 21

Hometown: McKinney, TX Resident: Woodlands, TX A child of the foster care system, Zae was eventually adopted with all his siblings. He discovered a love for music and began performing around town at local coffee shops. Zae now teaches music and art to kids, leads worship at his church and is working on building a relationship with his birth mother. Team Legend

Pia Renee, 37

Hometown: Chicago, IL Resident: Villa Park, IL Pia Renee developed her love of music from her grandmother, who raised her. But becoming pregnant at 15, she had to put music on hold. When a second child followed at 18, Pia knew she had to take a “real” job. But now, the time is right for her to try her hand at fulltime career in music.

Ryleigh Modig, 18

Hometown: Spencer, MA Resident: Spencer, MA Ryleigh was inspired to get into music by her father, who plays in a band, but her quirkiness resulted in her being bullied in school. Finally, her parents homeschooled her, and she was able to focus on music. After leaving school, Ryleigh came out as a lesbian.

Victor Solomon, 22

Hometown: Peoria, IL Resident: Greensboro, NC Raised by a single mom, Victor started singing in church at six years old and won his eighth-grade talent show by singing John Legend’s “Ordinary People.” Now a senior at North Carolina A&T State University, Victor was voted the “Mister” of his university, but he still finds time to sing at church and in the school’s gospel choir.

Zania Alaké, 34

Hometown: Detroit, MI Resident: Detroit, MI Zania grew up in a house where there was always music and when she decided she wanted to be a professional singer, her parents enrolled her in a performing arts high school. She continued her artistic education through college, after which she performed with various known artists, and co-produced and starred in an Anita Baker tribute show. The mother of two has been working as a full-time banker, but hopes The Voice will allow her to make music her full-time career. Team Nick

Andrew Marshall,  21

Hometown: Boxford, MA Resident: Boxford, MA Music has always been a part of Andrew’s life. Early on, he took part in musical theater and by middle school was landing the leads. He went on to learn guitar and began songwriting. But at 16, he was diagnosed with leukemia , undergoing  treatment for the next three years. Make-A-Wish made it possible for him to meet his idol, John Mayer, who gave him the confidence to write about his most difficult experiences, including his battle with cancer, now in remission.

Dana Monique, 41

Hometown: Houston, TX Resident: Houston, TX Dana was born into a musical family. Her mother ran the ministry of music at their church and her father performed in a jazz band. Dana had her first church solo at 12 years old, and by 15, she was touring as a background singer. Now, she is hoping to make the transition from background singer to center stage.

Jose Figueroa Jr., 34

Hometown: New York, NY Resident: Kissimmee, FL Jose began singing in church at age 6 and hasn’t stopped since. He soon found himself performing on stages all over the world. Today, Jose lives in Florida and is a respected performer and Zumba instructor, but is hoping to make music his fulltime career.

Rachel Mac, 15

Hometown: Romeo, MI Resident: Romeo, MI Rachel was raised by a single dad who inspired her love of oldies but also gave her the confidence to start singing and performing in talent shows. The self-described “hippie” once gave a school presentation on how much she likes Blake Shelton, but even so, she is happy to be a member of Team Nick. Rachel is currently a sophomore in high school and participates in theater, marching band and choir, and she also finds the time to lead youth worship at her church. Saved Artists

Carolina Rial, 17

Hometown: Weehawken, NJ Resident: Ridgefield, NJ Carolina, who was raised by her grandmother, decided that music was her calling after Jennifer Hudson reposted a song video of Carolina’s. Her grandmother got to see the start of her singing career before passing away two years ago.

Emma Caroline, 25

Hometown: Tuscaloosa, AL Resident: Nashville, TN Because her father’s job as a military helicopter pilot kept things uncertain, Emma turned to music for comfort, and it became her saving grace. Now, the worship leader wants to inspire others to persevere and uses music as a message of hope.

Devan Blake Jones, 35

Hometown: Aurora, CO Resident: Denver, CO For years, Devan has balanced his need to have an office job to pay the bills with his passion for music, which he has tried to satisfy by performing in a wedding band and at various community events. Even so, his dream is still that of being a professional singer.

Savanna Woods, 26

Hometown: Stanwood, WA Resident: Stanwood, WA Savanna has been singing since she could talk. At 19, she formed a band and also discovered she enjoyed producing. She realized she could make music a career and recently decided to branch out as a solo artist. The Voice airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
