On Aug. 12, the rapper stopped at the amusement park and concert venue for a scheduled performance with Imagine Dragons and Kings Elliot; as part of the Imagine Dragons: Mercury World Tour. But before showtime, Macklemore wanted to interact with fans around the park and have some fun–until a few security guards almost messed it all up. In a new video posted to his TikTok account, Macklemore documented himself riding a scooter around to buy candy that the musician then intended to disperse amongst fans that he met around the park. But as Macklemore was in a store picking up the treats and dragging the scooter along, a security guard stopped him and told the rapper that his scooter had to be parked outside. Well, Macklemore didn’t agree, stating that someone named “Todd” gave him permission to ride it around the park. The 39-year-old was pretty convincing in his argument, until he wasn’t. He later told the security guard that “Todd” said: “I’m the head honcho, it’s cool with me… You have to keep it on the ground, all two wheels on the ground, as long as you’re secure.” Macklemore continued, “Then [Todd] said, ‘Don’t talk to anyone else about it.’” The lone security guard didn’t buy it and he even called backup in. Macklemore, however, couldn’t be bothered as the video showed the star chatting with fans and ignoring the security guards that remained on his tail. As he smiled and casually walked around, text on the screen said, “Knowing they’re about to kick me out of Hershey Town.” In the end, it doesn’t look like it was all too serious, as the video ended with Macklemore riding away on the scooter before a playful caption popped up on the screen. “DIPS AWAY BEFORE THEY CALL MY PARENTS.” Luckily for fans, the musician was able to make it on stage for a sweet performance. The tour continues in America and Canada through mid-September, with Macklemore set to then perform in Australia and New Zealand this November. More News:
