West disagreed with her promotion of body positivity, saying, “It’s actually clinically unhealthy, and for people to promote that… it’s demonic.” Lizzo may have finally responded to the statement with a subtle clapback at her Oct. 7 concert in Toronto, Canada. In between songs, Lizzo told the crowd: “I feel like everybody in America got my motherf—–g name in their motherf—–g mouth for no motherf—–g reason. I’m minding my fat, Black, beautiful business!” The crowd cheered, and Lizzo jokingly asked if she could stay in Canada and maybe find a husband for dual citizenship, which led to more cheers and laughs, which can be seen in a video obtained by TMZ. It looks like Lizzo has decided to take the high road and just ignore unreasonable and insulting comments like the ones West made, focusing on herself; She’s got more important things on her mind, as she revealed in a new interview with Vanity Fair. Lizzo is very outspoken about political issues, and one of the big issues she’s focused on lately is the right to abortion, which was greatly limited (or altogether taken away) in many states when the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade earlier this year. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Lizzo revealed that she knows “plenty of people who would have died if they hadn’t had that procedure,” but she noted that having a personal connection to the issue shouldn’t matter. She poignantly said, echoing her words at the recent concert: “It shouldn’t matter if I had a personal experience or knew somebody; it shouldn’t matter what my opinion is. Opinions is what got us in this shit in the first place—what people think people should be doing with their bodies.” Lizzo continued, “These days, we don’t create laws that support people having health care, never mind abortions. How about letting people have access and resources and mind their f—–g business?” More News:
