What inspired you to create the “Margalicious Margarita?”
“We’re all connected through the years by friendship and our work together, so when we were presented with this opportunity, we jumped at the chance to collaborate on a company with a strong female presence, like CEO Cara Kamenev and our other founding partner, Sarah Jessica Parker," Vanessa Hudgens tells Parade. Being big fans of margaritas, Benson says she will go out of her way to go to a bar or restaurant that she knows makes a good margarita. “I loved the idea that with the Margalicious Margarita, I don’t have to leave my home or can have a good margarita with premium tequila no matter where I am.”
How do you like to serve margaritas?
“Being able to just pop open a bottle or a can and know you’re going to get a top-quality, fresh and high-proof drinks every time is what makes serving our Margalicious Margarita so easy,” explains Dawson. “We love that we created something that is always consistent, tastes amazing and encourages people to just have a good time together.”
What’s the best food pairing for margs?
“As simple as it sounds, we all love splitting a big bowl of fresh guacamole while we drink the Margalicious Margarita,” says Dawson. “You can never not have the best time with friends when you are eating Mexican!”
How did you come up with this blend for the ultimate margarita?
“During the pandemic we all really got into making our own cocktails at home and of course that included margaritas,” recalls Hudgens. “I think that process of seeing the balance of adding fresh ingredients like lime juice and orange zest and adding more or less of something, based on our personal taste to make the cocktail more sour or even more sweet. We wanted to make sure it was not only high quality but also high proof and these drinks pack a punch at 40 proof.”
How do you serve this margarita?
According to Benson, the best way to enjoy the Margalicious Margarita is to simply pour it over ice in a glass of your choice. She personally likes a lowball glass for it.
What do you like to cook at home when drinking these margs?
