16 Best Doritos Flavors
1. Cool Ranch Doritos
Cool Ranch is the best—fight us on it. (No, in all seriousness, please don’t @ us.) But while this is quite a divisive stance to take, we feel confident it’s the right one. Cool Ranch Doritos are an all-around crowd-pleaser that shows up at parties, football Sundays, and just about every kind of event or occasion there is. Plus, it’s such a specific take on the ranch flavor that there’s truly nothing else like it!
2. Nacho Cheese Doritos
Nacho Cheese comes in a close second but nevertheless, it’s still second. Unlike most other chips, Nacho Cheese Doritos don’t require any kind of dip or salsa thanks to their undeniable cheesiness. Your fingers will turn orange—don’t worry, that’s all part of the experience—and your taste buds will be satisfied.
3. Doritos Heat Wave Barbecue
We know—it’s pretty controversial to rank a barbecue-flavored chip so high, but the Doritos Heat Wave Barbecue was undeniably a crowd favorite. Upon the first bite, you immediately get that quintessential BBQ flavor that tastes like summer. Then comes the heat! All in all, it’s a delicious combo of savory flavors and heat and we can’t get enough of it.
4. Doritos 3D Spicy Ranch
It’s bold to rate another ranch sub-flavor so high, but everybody knows that Doritos 3D is a way of life. Doritos 3D Spicy Ranch is a total experience—from the satisfying crunch to the strange, lightweight feeling of the 3D shape in your mouth. Not to mention, the flavor really nails what we love about Cool Ranch, only with a bit more gimmick.
5. Doritos Flamin’ Hot Limón
If you’re not into heat, then you need to step away from the Doritos. This chip brand has a reputation for perfectly marrying heat and flavor in a way that’s not too overwhelming and Doritos Flamin’ Hot Limón is one of the best examples of that. Spicy but with a cooling kick of lime, Flamin’ Hot Limón is one of our go-to flavors at a summer BBQ.
6. Spicy Nacho
It’s no secret that Doritos fans go hard for the Spicy Nacho flavor. And it’s not difficult to see why. With all the cheesiness of the Nacho Cheese Doritos, Spicy Nacho takes it a step higher with some added heat.
7. Doritos Italiano Tomato & Cheese
Near impossible to find as the Doritos Italian Tomato & Cheese is in the Australian Doritos line only, we’re praying for the day when Doritos launches this flavor in the U.S. It’s the perfect flavor combination of cheese and tomato—almost exactly like a pizza!
8. Doritos Salsa Verde!
Salsa verde—AKA the green salsa—is the most underrated of the salsas IMHO, so it makes total sense that the Doritos Salsa Verde! flavor is low-key delicious. It certainly flies under the radar but the taste is totally there. You get that jalapeño heat, so if you’re looking for spice in your Doritos, this is it.
9. Simply Organic White Cheddar
Simply Organic White Cheddar Doritos are slept on! Yes, they’re organic. Yes, they’re the “healthy” Doritos. But we don’t care. They taste literally delicious, whether they fall under the umbrella of organic or not. This flavor is like Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn but the Doritos version.
10. Doritos Collisions Hot Wings Blue Cheese
Collisions was a fun time in Dorito’s history. Two flavors would combine together—in this case, Hot Wings and Blue Cheese—in one bag and Doritos Collisions Hot Wings Blue Cheese was a standout from the line. The Blue Cheese chips are everything we love about Cool Ranch, but with a bold, blue cheese kick; the Hot Wing’s chips bring the heat associated with wings. Together, it tastes like football Sundays.
11. Black Pepper Jack Doritos
A limited-edition flavor that can be difficult to find nowadays, Black Pepper Jack Doritos shouldn’t have been discontinued. It’s a pretty specific flavor, we get it, but it was beloved by so many. The flavor marries the kick of black pepper with pepper jack cheese for something that was unique and sharp.
12. Doritos Pizza Supreme
Pizza can be a tricky flavor to nail, TBH, but Doritos Pizza Supreme does it pretty well. We use pretty here because well, these Doritos taste less like a real pizza and more like a simulated version of pizza. In short, nothing will ever be as good as the real thing—an actual slice (or two) of pizza.
13. Doritos Poppin’ Jalapeño
Spicy flavors definitely reign supreme when it comes to preferred Doritos flavors and Poppin’ Jalapeño is no exception! Hot in a unique way that really sneaks up on you, this flavor is really geared toward spicy food aficionados.
14. Doritos Collisions Blaze & Ultimate Cheddar
Another Collisions flavor, Doritos Collisions Blaze & Ultimate Cheddar is one of the more popular ones from this line. The ideal combination of cheesy and spicy, the ultimate way to eat this kind of Doritos is to sandwich the two flavors together and eat at once!
15. Doritos Flamas
It’s about to get a whole lot spicier—hence the name Doritos Flamas! Unlike the other jalapeño-based or generally spicy flavors, Doritos Flamas solicits the help of a bunch of different peppers. The result? A whole lot of kick that makes a satisfying snack. (But you may want to keep a glass of water nearby.)
16. Doritos Tapatío
With so many of the best Doritos flavors classified as spicy flavors, it only makes sense to round out the list with Doritos Tapatío. Modeled after the beloved hot sauce brand with a very distinct taste, Doritos Tapatío unites both classic flavors together for something unexpected and delicious. Next up, these White Claw flavors are hands down the best.
